Dr. Karambir Banwait is a trained Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. Born and raised on his family’s blueberry farm in Abbotsford, B.C., he lived there until he graduated high school. He then attended the University of British Columbia where he majored in Life Sciences before enrolling in the faculty of dentistry at UBC. He graduated with a DMD degree in 2019 and was accepted into a 4 year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California (LAC-USC Medical Center) in Southern California; a level 1 trauma center. During his training, Karambir gained extensive experience in extractions, implants, anesthesia and sedation, pathology, reconstruction, orthognathic, TMJ, cosmetic, and trauma surgery. He also gained extensive craniofacial experience at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Now finished with residency, he looks forward to returning to his hometown of Abbotsford and serving the community in which he was raised. His interests include basketball, football, snowboarding and traveling.
